Like lots of mental health professionals, my personal experiences led me to this line of work. With just under 20 years of experience and a master’s degree in this field, my time with direct client care has come to an end. Now, my mission is to educate on the matters that affect mental health while providing avenues for personal development within the child & adolescent population.

Book 2 in the series is titled “Patches gets the Blues” as she loses interest in playing the piano.
Books 3 and 4 are available for pre-order and will talk about concerns related to ADHD as well as conduct disorders, sometimes associated with bullying.

Testimonials (Bichon the Brave)
5 out of 5 stars
As a practicing family medicine physician, I absolutely love this book and can appreciate it’s beauty. The combination of these adorable characters and the reality of the challenges we all face today make this definitely one of the best books I have read with my kids. We bought the ebook, but will be buying a hard cover copy to keep in my office. Not only does it highlight the importance of supportive friends, but it reminds us that there are professionals always willing to help out. We can’t wait for the others in the series!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great helpful book for Mental Health Community Peer Advocacy Programs, School Advocacy Parent Groups and Support Staff in school systems.
This book has helped so many Peer Professional support staff in Mental Health Community Centers. As well as parents in school systems advocate for their students.
I am so impressed with the beauty of the characters that I am creating a quilted wall hanging based on the characters.Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good book to help children dealing with Anxiety...
I love this book! I've been searching for a while for a book series that would address mental health concerns among school aged children, and this book was right on time. I've read this book to my son, and it helped him to understand anxiety and worrying. It also helped him learn to use coping skills to work through his anxiety. A big WIN! I look forward to the rest of the series.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great message!
Good book for children to read, it gives a clear issue that they can relate too, then provides a clear solution to pursue that is available to almost all children. I also like the message of sharing your concerns and trusting others with them.
